 THERMOFORMING |
The thermoforming process is a moulding technique of the plastic materials which allows to realize in an easy way every kind of shapes to low costs production tools.
Planning times, moulds realisation, prototypes and waste final production’s costs are reduced also it is possible to use high quality materials for the body parts characteristics and for the surface
finishing.
The thermoforming can be made with different techniques. We use the traditional one by using the simple vacuum and the High pressure forming, they allow to give to the material the wished shape and aspect with high precision and details care, similar to the same obtained by the injection mouldings.
In addition to these two typologies we use an exclusive technique, which allows to realize high complexity shapes made of ABS.

 FOAMING |
The polyurethane foaming process is a working process which allows to obtain ‘products’ from the reaction of two chemical components: isocyanides and polyhydric alcohol.
Ruberti employs this technology in order to obtain three different polyurethane types:
Integral polyurethane: it is composed by a closed cells foam and covered by a compact surface skin, available in different thickness. It is high resistant to collisions and compressions, it has dimensional stability, low water absorption and it is soft at touching.
Rigid polyurethane: composed by foam of different thickness and it is used in all those situations which requires heat insulation, sound absorption or to reinforce two bodies, in order to give to item the necessary stability. It is possible to get real structure components.
Structural polyurethane: composed by foam of different thickness with which it is possible to realize structural aesthetics components, without using supporting metal frames.
By this way it is possible to combine the structural techniques with elegant, stylized and elaborated shapes.
This technology allows technical and functional characteristics (connexions, supports, etc.) to be compared to those of the injection moulding. The advantage is that it can be used for little production quantities with consequently low investment costs.
